Race Raises $5K for Veterans

There’s nothing better than raising money for a good cause. Okay, except maybe raising money for a good cause while surrounded by dozens of happy, healthy dogs. That’s exactly what the Revival Paw Squad did last Saturday, June 23rd at our first ever Paws for a Cause Fun Run and Doggie Dash.

We enlisted the help of some pet companies we work with and other local businesses to put on the event in our hometown of Orange City, Iowa, and more than 40 dogs and 56 humans showed up. Together we raised more than $5,000 and all proceeds went to Partners for Patriots, a nonprofit organization that provides free service dogs to military veterans across the country. We were honored to have representatives from Partners for Patriots on-site, as well as some veterans and their service dogs.

The event concluded with a doggie ice cream social (non-dairy, of course), that gave area dog owners the chance to meet and discuss one of their favorite topics – their dogs. It was great meeting dog owners from our town and many of the surrounding communities!
